Salon Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Wanderlust Nails by Lou. These terms and conditions are designed to ensure a smooth, enjoyable experience for all clients while protecting the time, care, and professionalism that goes into every appointment.

By booking an appointment, you agree to the following terms.

Appointments & Bookings

Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I completely understand, please just let me know as soon as possible.

Deposits

Appointments  require a £10 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.

• Deposits will be deducted from your final appointment balance.
• If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or fail to attend your appointment, your deposit will be retained.
• Appointments are not confirmed until any required deposit has been received.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellation Policy

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

This allows me the opportunity to offer the appointment to another client and helps me manage my diary effectively.

Late Cancellations

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a charge of 50% of the booked treatment cost.

As a small home salon, last-minute cancellations have a significant impact on my business and income. Thank you for your understanding.

No Shows

If you fail to attend your appointment without making contact, the full treatment cost will be payable before any future bookings can be accepted.

Running Late

Life happens, and I understand that delays can occur.

• Please send me a message if you are running late.
• If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your treatment may need to be shortened to avoid impacting other appointments.
• Arrivals more than 20 minutes late may be treated as a no-show and charged accordingly.

Illness & Health

If you are feeling unwell, please let me know as soon as possible.

I understand that illness can arise unexpectedly and cancellation fees may be waived at my discretion.

For the health and safety of all clients, I may refuse or postpone treatment if I believe it is not appropriate to proceed.

Clients are responsible for informing me of any allergies, medical conditions, skin sensitivities, infections, or other issues that may affect their treatment.

Refund & Repair Policy

Your happiness matters to me, and I always want you to leave loving your nails.

Repairs

• If you experience any issues with your nails within 24 hours of your appointment, please contact me and I will happily offer a complimentary repair.
• Repairs requested after 24 hours may incur a charge depending on the issue.
• Repairs are only offered on work carried out by Wanderlust Nails by Lou.
• Complimentary repairs are offered at my discretion following assessment of the issue.

Refunds

As all nail services are time-based treatments, refunds cannot be offered once a service has been completed.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your treatment, please let me know during your appointment so adjustments can be made immediately where possible.

If concerns are raised within 24 hours of your appointment, I will always do my best to resolve the issue through a repair appointment where appropriate.

Nail Art & Design

• If you have a specific design in mind, please send inspiration photos via direct message before your appointment or bring them with you.
• I will always be honest about what can realistically be achieved.
• Inspiration photos are used as a guide only.
• Exact copies of another nail technician's work cannot be guaranteed and will not be replicated precisely.
• Refunds will not be provided where a design differs from an inspiration image.

Aftercare

Following the recommended aftercare advice will help maximise the longevity and appearance of your nails.

Repairs may be chargeable where damage occurs as a result of:

• Picking or biting nails
• Forceful removal of products
• Accidental damage
• Excessive exposure to chemicals or water
• Failure to follow aftercare advice
• General wear and tear beyond what would reasonably be expected

As a qualified nail technician, I can usually identify the likely cause of lifting, breakages, or product failure, allowing me to provide the most appropriate advice and support.

Children & Guests

As this is a home salon environment:

• Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to attend appointments.
• Clients are welcome to bring one adult guest to their appointment.
• Additional guests may only attend with prior agreement.

This policy helps ensure a safe, relaxing, and professional environment for everyone.

Photography & Social Media

Clients are welcome to take photographs of their nails following treatment.

However:

• Images of my work must not be used for commercial, promotional, marketing, training, or business purposes without my prior written consent.
• I may occasionally photograph nail treatments for my portfolio and social media channels. Permission will always be requested before any identifiable images are shared.

Respectful Behaviour

I am committed to providing a welcoming, friendly, and professional experience for every client.

I kindly ask that all communication and behaviour remain respectful at all times.

Abusive, aggressive, discriminatory, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in appointments being cancelled or future bookings being refused.

Right to Refuse Service

Wanderlust Nails by Lou reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time and without providing a reason.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Health and safety concerns
• Inappropriate behaviour
• Failure to follow salon policies
• Situations where treatment is not considered suitable or safe

Wanderlust Nails by Lou is a small independent home salon, and your support means the world to me.
